DIY Lip Palette
Do you have those lipsticks you think you won't ever use again? We can get sick of the same shades again and again, but thank eyeshadows and a little use of chemistry, a new batch of lipsticks can be made in minutes!
Things to have
Rarely-used nude lipsticks or lip balm
Empty container or pill box
Toothpicks (for cleaning up)
Wax paper as placemat
When all of your materials are ready, pick the lipstick and eyeshadow combination that you’re going to mix together.
With the use of makeup spatula, slice off the lipstick onto the spoon. Make sure you do it gradually to avoid spillage.
Place the spoon over the flame and wait for it to melt. Once it’s melted, scoop off the desired eyeshadow pigments using the spatula and mix it with the melted lipstick on the spoon over the flame.
Give it 20 seconds over the flame while stirring the mixture continuously.
Once thoroughly mixed together, right away transfer the new shade to an empty container.
To easily clean the spoon, use a table napkin to wipe off excess lipstick.
Let the lipstick dry completely before applying on your lips. Be careful not to burn your lips.
To achieve the same exact shade as your chosen eyeshadow shade, use a lip balm instead of a lipstick.
